You decide on further work. Hourly rates, any advance payments and budgets are agreed beforehand. Larger assignments have a separate scope and budget. Personal support remains optional.
You engage external criminal defence counsel directly; the law firm bills you separately.

Everion organises the work around the client and structures facts and supporting materials. We reuse existing information where appropriate and coordinate selectively with criminal defence counsel. This helps limit repetition and unnecessary consultation.
The business coordinator tracks priorities and follow-through. Legal case preparation has a separate mandate. Your external criminal defence lawyer handles the defence and retains professional responsibility.

Who is Everion for?
Companies, directors, owners and family members dealing with the effects of an investigation or allegation. This can include FIOD or NVWA investigations, an internal fraud investigation, banking questions or operational disruption. At the outset, we establish who may instruct and which interests require separate support.
How does an engagement begin?
We first agree the fixed fee and scope of a short initial engagement. You receive an overview of priorities, specialists involved and proposed next steps. Further work starts once you agree the work and costs. While a client is detained, initial work is limited to what is necessary and properly authorised.
How is work billed?
The initial engagement has a fixed fee agreed in advance. Subsequent work uses an agreed hourly rate. Any advance payments and budgets are agreed beforehand. Extensive case preparation or restructuring has a separate mandate and budget. External criminal defence counsel bills you directly.
Who handles the legal work?
External criminal defence counsel handles the defence. For factual case preparation and other legal questions, such as responses to banks, we first agree which specialist will carry out the work and who is responsible. Sensitive case preparation starts only once the engagement, access and protection arrangements have been settled with counsel.
Can Everion replace my criminal defence lawyer?
No. You engage an external law firm directly for criminal defence. Everion coordinates the business consequences and can help prepare facts and documents. Support with selecting suitable counsel can form part of the engagement; the choice remains yours.
Is Everion available outside office hours?
Availability is agreed for each engagement. Evening and weekend support with backup may form part of those arrangements. Everion has no permanently staffed raid-response desk and does not guarantee continuous or overnight availability. If a search is underway, contact a lawyer immediately.
How is information protected?
We agree access, reuse and information-sharing arrangements. For sensitive legal materials, counsel assesses the applicable protection. Confidentiality alone does not create legal professional privilege; legal preparation and general business coordination each require an appropriate setup.
